Expectations of a REACH Fellow

REACH can only be as successful as its Fellows make it. Please read our expectations for the REACH Fellows and if when reading them you are thinking of yourself, go on an apply!

BE COMMITTED

Commitment is the MOST IMPORTANT!

REACH Fellowship is a two and a half year program that starts your junior year of high school through the summer of your first year in college.

As a REACH Fellow, you are ready to commit to the program as we are committing to you. Although we do not see each other daily, we ask for a minimum of one weekend a month during non-summer months and a week+ during the summer.

COMMUNICATE

As mentioned above, we are a two and a half year program. We require students to continuously communicate with us and answer our communication efforts whether it's through an email, call, or text message.

As a REACH Fellow, you communicate with us efficiently and constantly throughout your time in the program. Communication is key to successful outcomes.

BE ADVENTUROUS AND SUPPORTIVE

Whether it's trying new foods, learning to feel at home in nature, or taking on a leadership role in your community, REACH Fellows are challenged to explore exciting new opportunities.

As a REACH Fellow, you strive to face challenges head on whether it's working up the nerve to speak in public, asking for help from others, or rock climbing a mountain. It's not easy leaving home to go to college, or dealing with all the challenges that come with post high school life. The REACH network offers the support needed to get through those difficult times.
